Yava and Stian collaboration

Description

Totally random collaboration with my reallife friend :iconriverraven: - so please go there and fav her version, not mine! She deserves it – here is the link riverraven.deviantart.com/art/… . She has drawn Yava (the black girl) and I have drawn Stian, the white guy). Both are Siderians: horse-sized felines that look like tiger-oriental cat hybrids

River came to visit me in Norway. I moved there 1,5 year ago so we don’t see each other so often anymore…but we had a chance this summer and decided to do a ‘tutorial collaboration’; since River wanted to see how I build up my drawings. We came with a random idea to draw our main characters in a dynamic pose to study the anatomy as well. Then we drew ‘parallel’ – every phase, so we got nearly everything the same. River really did a good job and has learned a lot!
Since we didn’t plan a background initially the characters don’t blend perfectly in the background – I had struggles to match the light and colours. Usually I draw the background first. Anyway on the totally randomness modus the background came to something funny.
Anyway, good to see our dear Yava & Stian back again :) - and I think Stian's feet are looking pretty huuuge O.O

Lovely work - this is a beautiful scene with the two Cheederians here - love the birds in the background, and the snow, and the way they're reaching for the feather gives a lovely pose. <3

It's also a really good idea, since I'd also love to see how a brilliant artist like you goes through the process of drawing, I'm sure it's a very useful thing to see and it would be easy to learn a lot. She really has improved a lot, I must agree! :D
